Essential Responsibilities:

  • Increase revenue by bringing in new accounts and managing and expanding existing accounts
  • Establish a relationship with clients through sales visits, phone calls, promotions and site inspections
  • Booking business while maintaining understanding and awareness of profitability of group prospects
  • Show presence during catering events
  • Conduct site inspections with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space and banquet facilities, as well as other property facilities
  • Arrange and conduct special events, and off-site presentations for potential clients
  • Attend and represent hotel at trade shows and conventions and/or participate in sales trips
  • Attend weekly sales departmental meeting and other scheduled meetings to support business operations, i.e., tentative review, lost business review, group-pick up, etc
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
  • Direct sales of guest rooms and meeting space to corporate clients, SMERF groups, and/or associations
  • Work within rate structures
  • Enter details of groups in booking system
  • Run Banquet Event Order meetings
  • Ensure that all BEO books are updates and all parties are notified of changes, cancellations and pop-ups
  • Assist with group arrivals at front desk whenever possible
  • Assist Dir Sales & Marketing on any and all Sales & Marketing administrative tasks
  • Assist Dir Sales & Marketing on any and all public relations activities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 year’s prior experience in hotel industry, preferably Hilton brand hotels
  • 2 year’s prior experience with OnQ property management system
  • 2 year’s prior experience in front-of-house /sales coordinator position

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication, assertiveness skills, self-starter, & goal oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, computer literate
  • Prompt and reliable, strong organizational and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, self-motivated, ability to handle multiple tasks, public speaking skills, flexibility
  • Must have appropriate professional attitude and appearance.
  • The candidate must be proactive and possess a strong desire to prospect new business, negotiate contracts and close the deal
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflect highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
